Home Venetian plaster Textures Color washing Rag and sponging

Life is too short to paint it white. The arcatectuial detail came to life in this home, after adding some color mixed with faux. The front entry was painted with a Ben Moore historical gold color. The ceiling was done in a pearl essence gold, below the chair rail was done in a venetian plaster with a touch of gold metallic, burnished to a high shine. The columns were painted in an adobe red, with white enamel trim and doors. The same colors were used on the fire place, the upper recessed walls were painted in the adobe red, walls gold and fireplace done in the venetian plaster.
